The Quran and Sunnah are declared the Supreme law of Pakistan under the Amendment.

9th Amendment (1985): This bill is about to impose Shariah law as the supreme law of land by amending Article 2, 203B and 203D. The bill was passed by the Senate and send to National Assembly in but could never be passed by National Assembly owing to the latter’s dissolution.
