Bahadur Khan was an emperor of the Muzaffarid dynasty who reigned over Gujarat from 1526 to 1535 and again from 1536 to 1537. He ascended to the throne after competing with his brothers. In 1535, Bahadur Shah was defeated by Humayun and escaped.
In 1533, Humayun founded a new city, Din Panah, on the bank of the Yamuna River. Sher Shah Suri destroyed Din Panah completely and built his new capital, the Sher Shahi, now known as Purana Qila fort.
Humayun besieged the fort of Chunar in 1532. At that time this fort was in the hands of Sher Khan(Later became Sher Shah Suri). Humayun failed to capture the fort even after a siege of four months. By that time, Bahadur Shah of Gujarat increased his pressure on Rajasthan which was against the interest of Humayun.
Humayun, therefore, asked Sher Khan to accept his suzerainty and send a contingent of Afghan troops to serve him. Sher Khan agreed and sent his son Qutb Khah to serve the Mughul emperor.
This battle took place in 1532 between Afghans Under the leadership of Mahmud Lodhi and Humayun. Humayun defeated Mahmud Lodhi and the Afghan confederacy.
